RASTR along with fellow members of Civil Society is making honest efforts to replenish the green cover lost in the name of development (of four-laning of the highway between Hubballi & Dharwad).

Three Government sources have 3 different count of trees to be cut:
KRDCL has paid money to GVR Infra to cut 2633 Trees, but Environmental Clearance is for only 1200 Trees!
RASTR has dug out information on this thru RTI and other sources and is organising this campaign to make the administration plant and nurture >4000 trees through the Mission 4000 Trees, Hubballi-Dharwad Campaign.
We are also talking to various agencies to get the trees planted...
